The closest I have came to working in the travel industry is my 5 years working mainly at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and a bit of time at Manchester Airport. I started working as a passenger service agent, working the check-in desks, boarding flights and meeting arriving flights. I then moved over to the ramp working as a ramp agent before moving up to become a dispatch agent, where I have first hand experience in airport environments and how that industry operates. I left the airport and started working in a car dealership, but realised how much I missed the travel industry and I wanted to have a bit of me that still connects to it. So I thought I try and become an Independent Travel Expert with ITE and create my own brand, and run my own travel agent business.
What do you like most about working in the travel industry?
Every day, no matter what part of the industry it is in, its always different to the day before. Even when working in the airport, you could have a nice day out in the sun for the full shift or you could have a busy day working heavy flights in the typical British summer rain. The only thing that never changes are the passengers happiness when getting on that plane. Even now as a travel agent, each day will be different but knowing you are helping people get the holiday of their dreams is a feeling that never goes away.

Disney World holidays, I have been 10 times and counting.

What destinations do you love to book for your customers and why?
I'd say Disney holidays, I have a lot of knowledge to share from past experience and I like passing that onto others so they can make the most of their stay. It is a very memorable place to visit, and there is even more excitement when its a first time visitor, even from the moment of booking
What is your personal favourite destination / holiday and why?
I would have 2 destinations. 1 is Walt Disney World Florida, it is truly a remarkable place and it isn't just for children there is something for everyone. I first went in 2006 and have been back numerous times since, there is always something there that brings you back. My 2nd favourite destination is New York, this was my first major solo trip and the moment I got there my breath was taken away, there is a lot of night life and energy from the city, its true what they say, the city never sleeps!
